K9 - THRILLS

"When I think of Richmond, I think of hardcore. I think of big, rowdy, sweaty outdoor gigs with a dozen amazing, aggressive bands sharing a rotating cast of shredders absolutely tearing it down. But that excellent mental image is nothing compared to the thrill of witnessing K9’s come-up in that scene over the past few years. Following a promising string of demos, the lo-fi art punks blow the roof wide open with this stunning new 11-song LP titled Thrills. A dynamic melting pot of sounds and influences channeling everything from Meat Puppets and Velvet Underground to Gun Club, and Guided By Voices, it’s as consistent as it is memorable. K9 is not a hardcore band in the traditional sense, but they definitely have that dog in them."
